Created in 2005, the group "Senegal International Dancehall Band" (SIDB) with its five members who are no strangers to the Senegalese musical field can be singled out. Many amongst them have proved themselves in the Senegalese Hip Hop movement, with up to ten years experience. Yet despite this background, the kids do not consider themselves rappers. The SIDB members, that is to say KARA NEGUI, JACOB OKPUS, DEP MASTER, FREE DADY LOGA and ZAP, are aware that the Senegalese market is confined, thus their ambition is to reach international levels. To show they can play reggae such as it is played internationally without turning down their own cultural roots. Accordingly, and so as to reach the greatest number of people, they have decided to sing tuneful melodies in Wolof, Pullar, French and English.

These young musicians have given all their knack to successfully carry off this new production entitled "Never run". The result is simply mind-blowing. A pure delight to the ear, this CD is to lay alongside the masters of the category. Besides, if they have taken on the label "international" it is not thrust by a purpose of ill-appropriation, but simply because they have made the effort to comply with international music standards. All this midst remaining themselves, africans who are proud of their cultural riches.

Not only have these artists chosen to explore classic reggae and dancehall themes such as Corruption, God, Peace and Love, but also other themes specific to Africa, such as campaigning for youth considerations.

They also paid attention to the critical situation experienced by the world generally, and Africa in particular. They point out the political systems set up in Africa which "makes no effort to help young people pulling themselves through".

Their CD includes tracks like "Never run ", "Never give up ", "Aduna" etc. Titles embracing a certain philosophy of life and which have in common demanding to young people to hang on, to "never give up" in order to tell them that the happiness is at the end of the effort. At all events, these young people believe in their lucky star. They plan to make their style adopted by the Senegalese public while keeping the secret hope to see it shining beyond Senegal.
